This task will consist in a Mood Board, Mind Map and a detailed response to the Brief, explaining the creation of assets
Mood Board
This mood board shows basic survival assets and weapons that can be used. the fence in the mood board can be used to limit territory within factions.
Mind Map
Mind map shows the general ideas when it comes to the Mind Map

Survival Brief Response
The type of survival I want to create may differ from a general idea of survival. When it comes to games we instantly think about zombies or post-apocalyptic survival. I want to create a world in were the ruler owns a big faction.
Smaller factions will fight other factions and will have to survive. Ideally I want to create 4 Factions.
Bad/Ruler Faction and other 3 factions. Ruler Faction will not be playable and will add difficulty to the game as the players will not only compete against other but as well as the AI.
The models I want to accomplish fairly simple. A Banner/Flag for each playable Faction and other 3 survival items or models that can be added to environment.
Fencing and construction objects could be used for environmental assets. Survival items can vary depending the Faction but I would like to model some weapons or hunting artefacts.
3D Models
I have used 2 different methods for my modelling task.
I have used Box Modelling and Extrusion modelling.
Box Modelling: Box modeling is a technique in 3D modeling where a primitive shape (such as a box, cylinder, sphere, etc.) is used to make the basic shape of the final model.
Extrusion Modelling: In this method, the user creates a 2D shape which traces the outline of an object from a photograph or a drawing.
Box Models:

This method is fairly simple once practised, by using a reference image on the side I modelled the items by using Rotation, Scaling and Extrusion.
By using this method, some types of shaping can be obtained to a realistic level.
Extrusion Models:

I have used Extrusion modelling in this 2 models because they are a bit more complicated, the positive points of Extrusion modelling is that is more exact to Box Modelling.
By using Scaling and Extrusion I created those 2 models.
If we look closely we can see that the Bow and the Axe handle are rounded, this was completed by using Modifiers. I decided to do it this way to create a realistic feel and to create a better looking models.
I have also added a Quick Effect in the Campfire Model, this effect was a smoke effect because it makes it look better and if we think about it, a Campfire its seen with fire, a warm place to stay.
Legal & Ethical Issues
Legal Issues with my images:
Games have different age ratings and my assets have to be for a 16 age rating game, I have to complete the assets in a way that will not make the Age Rating higher and create any issues
My assets or images do not promote Discrimination in any way. They are survival items based on real Tools/Items so they is no discrimination or any issues that could offend people or a specific community.
Also, my images do not break any copyright or intellectual property law, all my assets are referenced from other images, they are not copied but genuine assets created by me.
Ethical Issues with my images:
The actual definition of an Ethical Issue is:
A problem or situation that requires a person or organisation to choose between alternatives that must be evaluated as right (ethical) or wrong (unethical).
I used this definition to make sure it is understandable and I had it in mind when creating the models.
My ethics and morals have not changed, but by using the definition I made sure that it will not offend no one and that it will evaluated as Right (Ethical)
Target Audience:
As mentioned, my rating is PEGI 16 ans the game was a Survival Setting.
Images I have created are not explicit and will not be categorised as PEGI 18.
The assets are usual survival objects that could be found anywhere, the weapons I have done models of are not going to increase PEGI rating due to them being normal survival weapons/tools.
Both Male and Female were considered in the Pre-Production task and I wanted it to keep it fine for both genders at the age rate PEGI 16.
Conclusion:
It all started with a Mind Map and a Mood Board but throughout ideas and modelling I was able to created my assets in a way that adapts to the setting.
Overall, I do think that the models are okay but that could have been better. If I had spent more time modelling they will have a better finish but they are good enough.
I am confident that they will not break any Legal or Ethical issues and to target the audience I wanted.
I would say that im happy but some improvements could be done in a future.
